Widener University seeks applications for one open full-time physical therapy faculty positions. The ideal candidate will possess an academic doctorate, a strong area of clinical expertise, academic teaching experience and a commitment to both community engagement and interprofessional collaboration. The preferred expert content area is teaching in areas related to adult neurologic physical therapy and neuroscience.  In addition, there may be teaching opportunities to teach acute care physical therapy and to mentor students in the student-run pro bono clinic setting.

The following qualifications are desired:

  • a physical therapy degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • an advanced doctoral degree
  • license eligible to practice physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • a minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a physical therapist
  • ABPTS or other advanced clinical certification
  • a record of academic teaching effectiveness
  • a record of scholarly inquiry and dissemination

This position is a 10-month, full-time, tenure-track position entering at the rank of Assistant Professor for the start of the 2019-2020 academic year.
