Widener University is seeking an Enrollment Services Representative. This role will be responsible for handling third party invoicing, managing external scholarships, ROTC payment processing, Employer Deferred Invoicing, and monitoring balances for students enrolled in partnerships. In addition, This role will be responsible to answer a wide variety of questions posed by potential and current students, staff, faculty and visitors to the University. The  Enrollment Services Representative will gain a working knowledge of areas outside of the Bursar’s office, which include Registrar’s office, Financial Aid, and the Campus 1 Card Office as they relate to overall customer service and response.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but are not limited to)

Essential Duties:

  • Calculate and submit third party invoices for high school dual enrollment students, ROTC students, and employer-deferred students as they relate to billing contracts for employer tuition payments.
  • Process external scholarships that arrive in Enrollment Services and work closely with financial aid counselors for applications of those scholarships to the award screens.
  • Monitor and track students enrolled in partner programs.  This position handles outreach to students with balances and will include emails and phone calls.
  • Monitor and track students with Internal Memos of Understanding (IMOU) for discounted tuition pricing, manage audit reports and communicate adjustments.
  • Participate in daily phone queue coverage for student/parent concerns/questions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Education/Training and Experience Required)

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of customer service or support position in an office environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skill
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Must possess a high level of diplomacy, tact and confidentiality with students and faculty
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office atmosphere

Preferred:

  • Previous work experience in higher education environment
  • Experience working with Ellucian/Colleague

 Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

  • Must be able to routinely sit at desk or table and work on computer for long periods of time (2+ hours), have basic manual dexterity, lift less than 25 lbs., and be mobile between workstation and numerous campus buildings.  Involves routine standing, walking, and climbing stairs and occasional bending, stooping and/or kneeling.
  • Occasional work on weekends and evenings as required
