Widener University is currently seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physics & Astronomy in the College of Arts and Sciences to start fall 2021. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, will ready to pursue an active research program that will include significant participation by undergraduate students, and will be expected to contribute to departmental, campus, and professional service. Teaching duties will include introductory physics courses and laboratories for science/engineering majors and for non-science majors, upper-level physics courses and laboratories, and astronomy/astrophysics courses if qualified.

Qualifications: Minimum requirements are a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education, clear evidence of scholarly potential, and a Ph.D. in physics or a physics-related discipline. The position is not limited by area of research specialization. ABD candidates may be considered if the Ph.D. will be completed by May 2021.
