POSITION SUMMARY: ADJUNCT LAB ASSISTANT HARRISBURG CAMPUS

Widener University is currently seeking an Adjunct Lab assistant for the Harrisburg Campus. This role reports to the Assistant Dean of the Harrisburg Campus and provides support to the Undergraduate Nursing Program by managing lab supplies as well as lab set up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

 Essential duties:

  • Assist the Assistant Dean of the Harrisburg campus and Director for the Center of Simulation to manage the lab supplies and set up on the Harrisburg Campus. .
  • Ensure simulation laboratories are properly prepared (stocked and cleaned) for faculty and student utilization in a timely manner.
  • Set-up and maintain equipment, able to troubleshoot and ensure that equipment is working properly.
  • Monitor inventory and order for simulations and labs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or directed.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Willingness to assist with other duties related to assuring excellent laboratory experiences

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):

Required:

  • Healthcare background.
  • Experience as a medical assistant, certified nursing assistant, licensed practical nurse (LPN)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong organizational skills, flexible, and superior interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with students, support and professional staff, and faculty.
  • Technical ability to utilize a supply inventory system, electronic health record and troubleshoot simulation equipment

Preferred:

    • Previous experience in a simulation lab
