Widener University Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks to hire two full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty members to begin July 1, 2022. Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, including at least a J.D. degree or its equivalent. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of and potential for outstanding scholarly achievement, strong, innovative and engaged teaching as well as dedicated service to the Law School, the University, and other academic and legal communities. We welcome applications from candidates who approach scholarship from a variety of perspectives and methods. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

 Essential duties:

  • Teach law school introductory and upper -level courses.
  • Engage in research, produce scholarship, and academic citizenship at all levels within the university.

  Secondary responsibilities:

  • Informally advise students related to law school and career success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):

Required:

  • Juris Doctor degree or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to legal education.
  • Clear evidence of scholarly potential. Positions are not limited by area of research specialization.

Preferred:

  • Teaching experience legal education.
  • Published Scholarship.
