Nursing Faculty - Non-tenure track - Harrisburg campus Harrisburg
Widener University, Harrisburg Campus, is currently seeking non-tenure track (clinical track) Nursing Faculty with a specialty focus in psychiatric mental-health, maternal health, child health, or population health and simulation for the Fall semester 2021. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Nursing, this full-time, 10-month role is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for teaching in the Accelerated Second Degree BSN (ABSN) option on the Harrisburg campus, facilitate student learning through simulation, collaborate with the Director of the Simulation Center on the Chester campus to manage the Harrisburg simulation lab, engage in clinical practice/scholarship, participate in the shared governance system of the School of Nursing and University, and mentor students. The School of Nursing’s unique, powerhouse programs serve the needs of diverse students at all stages of their careers. Students and faculty have opportunities to learn and practice in our nurse-managed clinics where we provide primary care to the underserved in the Chester community. Assistant/Associate Professor, Institute for Occupational Therapy Education - Tenure Track Chester
Widener University's Institute for Occupational Therapy Education Program is actively seeking a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor for the Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program in the College of Health and Human Services. This is a 10-month tenure-track position for a candidate that graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy and earned a doctoral degree from an accredited college or university. The candidate must also have initial certification by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), eligibility for OT Licensure in Pennsylvania, 1-3 years teaching and research experience in an institution of higher education, and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience. Preference will be given to individuals with clinical, teaching, and research expertise in adults, pediatrics, and or/mental health and an interest in Doctoral Capstone oversight. This role reports to the Director of the Institute for Occupational Therapy Education in the College of Health and Human Services. Responsibilities include teaching courses on campus and online (when requested), serve as academic advisor and/or mentor for students and/or student organizations, contribute to scholarship through research, presentations and/or publications, maintain currency in the academic discipline through continuing study, research, and/or participation in professional activities, pursue service and leadership opportunities within the Program, College, University and profession, serve as Doctoral Capstone Faculty Mentor (4-5 students per year), and other duties assigned by the Director.
Assistant Professor, Institute for Occupational Therapy Education - Non-Tenure Track - Academic Fieldwork Coordinator Chester
Widener University Institute for Occupational Therapy Education Program is actively seeking a full-time 12 month clinical track position as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor to serve as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) for the Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program in the College of Health and Human Services. This AWFC reports to the Director of the Institute for Occupational Therapy Education and is responsible for the OTD Program compliance with the fieldwork requirements defined by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and outlined in the accreditation standards. The AFWC administers all aspects the fieldwork portion of the program which includes oversight of Level I and Level II Fieldwork rotations. Responsibilities also include interfacing with fieldwork educators for on-going clinical site development. A significant portion of the AFWC’s annual work load is dedicated to the management and administration of the fieldwork program, and fieldwork-related teaching.
