The Simulation Scheduling Coordinator reports to the Director, Center for Simulation.  This role supports the needs of the School of Nursing. The primary reasonability of this role is to coordinate administrative duties centered on undergraduate simulation experiences. The Coordinator is responsible for simulation space coordination, documentation, student and visitor records, accreditation compliance, and provides programmatic support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties (in conjunction with Director & Assistant Director, including, but not limited to):

  • Determine and assign space needed for simulations and labs for all undergraduate and graduate level nursing courses in conjunction with the Director for Simulation, Assistant Director for Simulation and Clinical Placement Coordinator.
  • Document all undergraduate and graduate student experiences within the simulation center to provide accurate data for budgeting resources, supplies and other operational needs.
  • Foster positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff and other university offices necessary to perform position responsibilities.
  • Offer direction, as the point of contact, to all guests of the Center for Simulation.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and assists Director with resolving simulation scheduling issues related to student absence, scheduling conflicts, and instructional staffing issues.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Education/Training and Experience Required):  

Required:

  • Associate degree plus two years of progressively increasing professional job responsibilities and/or program management in an office setting.  An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and visitors.  
  • Ability to design and maintain spreadsheets and databases as required.

Preferred:

  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or nursing.
  • Experience with scheduling platforms.
  • Recruiting experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR UNUSUAL HOURS:

  • Required to sit at computer for extended periods of time.
