The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Widener University invites applications for the position of adjunct professor of psychology. Applicants must have experience teaching and be dedicated to working collaboratively in a department and university that values diversity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to) :
Essential duties:
Teach up to three sections of Introductory Psychology. This course should introduce students to the science of Psychology, which studies the biological, cognitive, personal, and social processes that influence behavior and experience.
Creating syllabi and assignments, and evaluating student work based on course goals
Maintain regular weekly office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students enrolled in assigned courses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required) :
Required:
Master’s degree in Psychology
Preferred:
PhD degree in Psychology
2–3 years of teaching experience at the college or university level.

Must be available for in-person instruction.
