Widener University’s Robotics Engineering Program is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in topics such as engineering techniques, object-oriented programming, programmable logic controller, control of robotic systems, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, robot operating system, machine learning, and mobile robots.
Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 3 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials, be available to meet with students outside of regularly scheduled class time, and provide support and guidance to students.

Required qualifications include a minimum of a Bachler of Science Degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, along with at least ten years of industry experience. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a graduate degree in one of these disciplines and may have fewer years of industry experience, have prior teaching experience, and demonstrate a willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
