Campus Safety Officer, Delaware Law School Delaware
Widener University is currently seeking a full-time Campus Safety Officer for our Delaware Law School location. Reporting to the Lieutenant of Operations. Campus Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and general well-being of all University community members, safeguarding university property and enforcing university policies and rules. Emphasis will be on responding to all calls for service and fostering good community relations and providing professional service. This position is outdoors and averages 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Campus Safety Corporal/Dispatcher- 3rd Shift, Main Campus Chester

Widener University is currently seeking a full-time 3rd Shift Campus Safety Corporal. This position is indoors and averages 40 hours a week, 10 hours a day, 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM. This position reports to the Lieutenant on duty. Campus Safety Corporals are responsible for the efficient operation of the Office of Campus Safety Dispatch Office. computer aided dispatch system, managing emergency and non-emergency calls for service and dispatching the appropriate response, operation/relay of the radio communication and emergency telephone systems, monitoring alarm systems, card access, and closed-circuit TV screen monitors, recording and maintaining appropriate Campus Safety documentation, and key control. Widener University is currently seeking an HVAC Mechanic – A in our Facilities Management Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Systems and with minimum supervision, the HVAC Mechanic operates, maintains, and troubleshoots building Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) systems and equipment in order to provide a comfortable and safe environment in all University in accordance with applicable standards of the trade and regulatory agencies.

Widener University is currently seeking an Electrician – A in our Facilities Management Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Systems and with minimum supervision, the Electrician-A installs, troubleshoots and repairs electrically energized equipment, components, conduits and wiring to provide safe and comfortable facilities for students, faculty, and staff. The Electrician may be required to perform work on power distribution systems, building electrical systems, and other electrical systems (building access, fire/security systems, audio visual, and building automation systems).

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Systems and with minimum supervision, the Plumber responds to requests for maintenance, repair, and installation of University plumbing systems. The Plumber operates, maintains, and troubleshoots building piping and drainage systems including but not limited to water supply, gas lines, sanitary lines, as well as plumbing fixtures such as showers, toilets, sinks, water heaters, dish machines in order to provide a safe and sanitary environment in all University facilities, including laboratories, athletic facilities, dining facilities, restrooms, and student residences in accordance with applicable standards of the trade and regulatory agencies.
General Mechanic/Locksmith Chester
Widener University is currently seeking a General Mechanic/Locksmith in our Facilities Management Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Buildings and Grounds and with minimal supervision, the Locksmith Mechanic operates and maintains campus wide building(s) with regards to appearance, comfort elements, equipment operation, lighting, life safety systems, building envelope issues (windows, doors, roofs) and maintains a preventive maintenance program for assigned buildings in order to provide a safe and beautiful environment in all University facilities. Additionally, the Locksmith Mechanic performs some of the duties of the Locksmith.
